Project Objective

The objective of the Our Ocean Conference continuity website was to establish a permanent digital home for the conference that would remain consistent year after year. Unlike previous conference sites built by individual host countries, this project required the creation of a centralized platform to support long-term visibility, track commitments, and reinforce the conference’s global leadership in addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, food security, and pollution. The goal was to design and develop a scalable website that could exist alongside annually produced host sites while providing continuity, clarity, and credibility for governments, NGOs, private sector leaders, and the academic community.

3Lane designed and developed a stable digital foundation for the Our Ocean Conference moving forward. We created a flexible architecture that allowed the site to evolve annually while maintaining consistent branding, navigation, and user experience. The platform was built to clearly communicate commitments, showcase progress, and support global stakeholder engagement, while remaining adaptable to shifting host priorities and action areas. Throughout the process, we focused on scalability, accessibility, and long-term sustainability to ensure the site could serve as a reliable anchor for the conference’s global presence year after year.
